As concert DVDs go, this is a show of a lifetime, nearly six hours featuring not only no-expenses-spared production values and every song from Dion's famed show, but priceless extras as well. Dion's substantial voice is in fine form, and sparkles on signature tunes like "A New Day Has Come," "The Power of Love," and of course the theme from Titanic , "My Heart Will Go On" (and Dion-watchers will note that she's thankfully dialed back the breast-beating that used to accompany this song). But as impressive as the performances are--and they include the talented gymnasts, dancers, and backup singers who work as a Cirque du Soleil-style ensemble--the set's most memorable moments are found in the personal footage and extras. Dion comes across as truly humble and approachable, with a wicked sense of humor and real compassion for her hard-working staff and her fans. There are sweet, intimate moments of Dion with her husband and son, as well as telling scenes that show her true resourcefulness (girlfriend does her own makeup!). The many docs include one on the building of her special theater and the building of the show from the ground up. "If you're going to gamble," says Dion's manager and husband, René Angélil, "Vegas is the place to do it." Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner. -- A.T. Hurley A NEW DAY... LIVE IN LAS VEGAS features thirteen live tracks from Ciline Dion's incredibly successful Las Vegas show, called a NEW DAY... and two previously unreleased studio tracks: "You and I" and "Ain't Gonna Look the Other Way." It was also released with bonus DVD (a 45-min documentary, called One Year... One Heart). Review: Must have DVD - I rented this DVD from Netflix two years after seeing her live in Las Vegas (1999). I perform a lot and was disappointed with the show ( my girlfriend liked it) too much talking not enough actual singing , although when she did sing it was flawless. This show was filmed I think in 2007 which was the last year she was in her 4 year Las Vegas commitment. I was so super impressed with the show that I bought it on desertcart so I could show my partner why I was disappointed. This show obviously filmed to highlight the show. Celine was barely off stage, the dancers, background singers( 2 women and one guy) special effects, and cinematography were all special and could not have been done any better. This will give you many years of entertainment. P.S she is also a convincing actress. Review: Great Celine Deon Las Vegas show! But, it is long! - This is not just a music concert. Celine Deon puts on a great show! This is a big Las Vegas production in a special theater with a huge stage for the large supporting cast of dancers and singers! She starts the show by belting out some tunes with notes that very clear, beautiful and so high she has to hold the mic off to the side! During the show she saves her voice a bit when singing and dancing with the cast dancers. She sings many of her own song's, pop songs, show tunes, does one French song and even does a tribute to Frank Sinatra’s version of New York, New York! It is a long show with many costume changes during dance interludes so we ate diner during the intermissions! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Contributor | Céline Dion | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 2,336 Reviews | | Format | DVD, NTSC | | Genre | Céline Dion Live In Las Vegas - A New Day..., Pop | | Language | English | | Runtime | 5 hours and 39 minutes | ## Product Details - **Contributor:** Céline Dion - **Format:** DVD, NTSC - **Genre:** Céline Dion Live In Las Vegas - A New Day..., Pop - **Language:** English - **Runtime:** 5 hours and 39 minutes ## Images ![Live In Las Vegas - A New Day... - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71vm-4YM3WL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Must have DVD *by F***. on August 18, 2020* I rented this DVD from Netflix two years after seeing her live in Las Vegas (1999).
