I took a chance and repowered two solar fans with these (one each fan). They went strong all summer. I have a 200 watt, 12 volt solar panel running two fans powered by these motors and a third fan with a brushless motor meant to run on solar panels. These little motors spin at much lower RPMs than rated and operate in temps up to 160 degrees in my solar wood drying kiln all summer. I suppose the fan application helps keep them cooler but the ambient temps are very high. They probably ran at higher wattage than rated every day all summer in that environment.
