## Description

The Avalon Countertop Hot/Cold Water Cooler is made with innovation and style. The easy-to-use paddle spouts make it so much more convenient to use. Simply press your cup against the paddle to let the flow of water to come out. The machines highly efficient compressor makes the cold water crisp and ice cold at approximately 47° F without the need of adding ice cubes to your drink. The hot faucet is hot enough to cook one's tea or coffee or any other steaming hot beverage at approximately 180° F. Due to the extremely hot water, we’ve added a child safety lock on the hot water faucet. This water cooler is suitable for both 3 and 5 gallon bottles. The water dispensing area measures 9.5x2.5x10 inches with a height of 7 inches below the spouts to accommodate most large cups and bottles. At the bottom of the dispensing are there is a large removable drip tray to catch and spills. The water cooler is UL listed and complies with all standards of Energy Star. The unit dimensions are 12x12x19 inches.

I went from the Brita filter pitchers (amongst other filter pitcher brands) to buying bottled water but none of it has been this easy. It doesn't take up room in your refrigerator to chill your water and it does it all in the machine. Having this dispenser has really helped me hydrate way more and has been by far the most convenient. I rotate 3-3 gallon jugs at home and it lasts me quite a while to 1. Refill my jugs and 2. to change out the jugs from the machine. I also love the readily available hot water. I am a tea drinker so I can always just walk up with my tea cup and dispense hot water and my tea is ready within seconds! I don't have to wait to boil water stovetop or in the electric kettle. I have already recommended this to a friend who always buys bottled water. This saves on the plastic waste and also on time. I did come across one issue after about 4 months of use. The cooling feature had stopped working. I contacted Avalon and their customer service rep was superb. I followed the recommended steps in the email and voila! My machine started working its wonders again.

**Q: Will this fit a regular 5 gallon jug with the longer neck and a twist off cap?**
A: It should. I use the 3 gallon long neck with twist cap and the cooler is designed to hold either 3 or 5 gal. It is a great little cooler!

**Q: Is there an electric hum? Or does the heater turn on and off all the time? I want to put it on my nightstand.**
A: I have mine on my night stand in my college dorm. The hum is tolerable and not too loud. When the heater comes on, it sounds like a muffled boil.

**Q: What is height with 5 gallon water bottle on top?**
A: With a 5 gallon jug, which is 19.5 inches added to the 19 inches of the unit = 38.5 inches. However about 3 inches are inserted in the spout receiver. Figure 36 inches to be safe. I use the Zero Water Jug

**Q: Does it use a 2 or 3 pronged plug (i.e. does it need an earth connection)?**

Water is very hot and also cold. I really like that it has buttons to turn off and on the water on both temps. It's makes little to no noise. Looks nice. The handles on the side make it easy to move if you need to. And it's seems pretty durable. I've had it for a few months now and it's going strong. The hot water is very easy to use. So far so good with this machine. I use this unit every two weeks for bingo night where I set it up to serve 250 people. It is easy to set up and it is easy for customers to push their cups against the paddles and fill with water. The water is heated to a perfect temperature for tea or hot chocolate. I am giving it five stars, if anything changes I will revise.
