A full brace would not allow me to do my job at work. This does. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My go-to support for carpal tunnel symptoms *by T***8 on Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2014* I was prescribed these some years back when diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I am a nurse and found the larger rigid supports just didn't allow me to do all the myriad of tasks my duties required on a daily basis. I wore the rigid braces at night and used these on both hands during waking hours. I wore these all day and could write, type, wear gloves, sanitize my hands etc, and maintain the dexterity needed for shots, venipunctures etc. The middle finger loop over the top of the hand is adjustable & keeps the wrist from flexing downward and compressing the nerves. A piece of soft tubing keeps the loop from being uncomfortable. I'm not sure if it's latex free but I had no problems with irritation. The wrist strap has wide velcro on each end. It feeds through a metal ring and folds backward allowing it to be adjustable as well. I don't need them daily now but I still use them when I notice a flareup. My wrist and palm pain recently came back after some overly aggressive ivy-pulling, pruning and garden tilling. It was so bad yesterday I couldn't even sign my son's birthday card without pain and numbness. These things are my first option when I need to keep my wrist in a neutral position. I am wanting to get a second pair so I can keep one set with my gardening tools. Mine are probably 7 years old and work just fine. I just wash them in the sink when needed and let them dry. They are worth the money in my book. Just remember these are no substitute for medical intervention or surgery. I suggest consulting a specialist for hand pain. My doctor was just one of the few who was familiar with these so he gave me a prescription and they were covered by my insurance.
