So no need to knock off any stars for that.This does rate 5 stars given the quality of this kit at this price point. Do yourself a favor and buy some new heads. A set of Evans UV2’s woke up this set, as did the Evans Genera HD smoothed out the snare. To aid in tuning, I recommend the Evans Torque Key - Drum Key Tuner... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002D0HZI?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share to help dial in your sound.Now that everything is tuned, I’m really happy with the kit. Great build quality and fit and finish. Tone of course depends on tuning but I’ve gotten big booming sounds to punchy attacks with some overtones.
