So much has happened so quickly for Canadian singer /songwriter Ruth B. She started posting 6 second clips of her 'cover performances' on the short-form video sharing service Vine in early 2013. In 2014, she posted a Vine clip of herself singing 6 seconds of a line that she had made up, which was inspired by the television series Once Upon A time. Garnering tremendous fan response, some of her followers commented she should make that line into a full song. That song eventually became "Lost Boy". The beautifully rendered viral hit "Lost Boy" demonstrates Ruth's stunning vocal command. It is noteworthy the organic way she went about posting the first staggered snippets of "Lost Boy" on Vine looping snatches of the song in haunting, six second reveals. Such patient handling reflected the quiet confidence in her own muse a crucial indicator as to how a complete unknown could go on to garner two million followers on Vine, and ink a major label record contract all in a six month window. Since then, "Lost Boy" is now Certified Platinum in the US, Canada, Sweden (x2) and The Netherlands and has been streamed on-line more than 100 million times around the globe. In November of 2015, Ruth released her debut EP, The Intro, which includes "Lost Boy" and three new original tracks: "Superficial Love," "Golden" and "Two Poor Kids." Her debut album should arrive in late 2016.
