I installed this screen while my hubby was TDY out of country, so I had no extra hands to help. I really don't think it was meant to be put up with one set of hands alone. Also, my door is 93" tall, and I am 5'2" in shoes, so there's that. ;) I very nearly gave up and left a 1 star review, but I just don't have it in me to give up on anything, so I literally failed at failing and I am so glad that I did!When I utterly, miserably failed to get it installed the first few tries, I went back to read what reviewers said, hoping to find help. That was when I discovered that all of the 5 star reviews were obviously from reviewers who clearly aren't first-language English speakers. RED FLAG, RED FLAG!! I was sure that I had just bought a junk piece with hyped up reviews, but as it turned out, the reviews were hyped up, but it wasn't junk,👍. So, here is my tip list for installation. I also made a video, so see that.I should first say that the QR code that is needed to view the instructional video provided by the company is on the outside of the box. My son was taking out the recyclables as I was unboxing this product and I handed the packaging to him and sent it to the trash. I didn't know that that was the first step to my installation demise until a few days in to my misery when I contacted the company and told them that I did not receive the promised QR code that other reviewers were talking about, to which they replied, "It's on the box." I literally bit my lip and made the Lucille Ball "ehhhhh" sound when I read that, but luckily they also provided me with a link to it on the web, which answered some, but not all, of my questions. It really helps to be great at measuring things exactly (Seamstresses, unite!), so pick your most OCD measurer in the household to do this part of the job. So, here goes:First, lay your screen door out flat on the floor and make sure all of the magnets close together.Next, scotch tape the magnets together. When I didn't scotch tape them together, it came apart when I tried to lift it up for installation and then the screen laughed at me while I cried in frustration.The printed instructions are pretty clear about how to install the plastic anchor centered above your door, so do that, and then attach the hook side of the velcro around the doorway. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you use the hook side (the scratchy side) of the velcro on the frame, and save the fuzzy side for last. The little scratcher tool that has a bend to it is meant to be applied against the velcro to push it on with more pressure. This tool is very useful (especially for this rheumatoid arthritis sufferring, weak-handed DIYer) and I don't think it can be well installed without it, unless you are into exfoliating your fingertips.I measured my door length and width with exactness, then, measuring my screen on the floor, I used scotch tape on the screen material to mark an outline of where the velcro on the door frame would be so that I could keep it aligned perfectly as I installed it. Note: the stripes on the netting were perfectly straight on one side of my screen, and very crooked on the other, so don't count on them as your downward marking guide or your screen will be wonky. Also, don't apply the tape to where you need to install it, but rather outlining where it will be installed to the velcro.Next, I laid my tools (a hammer, the other side of the plastic anchor, the loop sided velcro, a pair of scissors, and the elbow shaped dohickey) at the top of the ladder. I precut the two pieces of fuzzy-sided velcro for the top before going up the ladder because I only have two hands. I climbed the ladder with my taped together screen, and because I had premeasured and taped off the outline, it was very easy to know exactly where to hang the screen without having one of my kids tell me "higher" or "lower" in order to get it the perfect length to sweep the floor just right.Now, press, using the velcro pressing tool, the screen into the hooked velcro at the top. When I only used my hands, this was insufficient. Use the tool. Now that it is hanging there lightly, use a hammer to hammer the plastic anchor across the middle. Once up, it is not going to come apart easily, so make sure it is exactly where you want it first. If you hung the first (sticky-back) piece with the double lines on the bottom, place the outer anchor piece double lines on top, facing the first piece, so that the flat side is facing out where you are hammering. You are hammering the single line into the center of the double lines on both bottom and top. It is quite effective when hammered, even though no hammer is mentioned in the instructions, or in the video they provide. Hammers are a magnetic screen installer's friend.Now, using the fuzzy sided pieces of velcro that you cut for either side of this top anchor, place them pressing using the presser tool.Next, I got down from the ladder and used scotch tape (painters tape would also work) to tape the bottom of my screen centered on the doorway because I am just OCD enough that if it were crooked, I would feel batty every time I saw it. So do this, if not for yourself, then for your OCD friend or family member.Now, I reclimbed the ladder and press-press-pressed the fuzzy side all the way down one side of the doorway and then the other.This is where, if you have a wooden door frame, you would pound in the tracks to keep it secure. I, however, have an aluminum doorway covered in wood-looking contact paper. Don't judge; I live in Korea and things are just weird like that here.Lastly, remove all of your scotch tape, and trim around the edges of your screen. I had to use scissors to not damage the wallpaper underneath, but if you have a more forgiving surface, I recommend an exacto knife.I bought this to be a dog door since I am a renter, and because you can't purchase XL dog doors in Korea, and I have an XL furry family member. I really appreciate any company willing to ship to an APO address, so special thanks to Mecfocus for that! I am very pleased with my screen door and my dogs figured it out in about 2 minutes. Five stars for product, one star for the rather crummy instructions, which hopefully this review helps others overcome. ### ⭐ Do Not buy this poorly constructed, cheaply made screen door. It broke and let bugs in. It was extremely difficult to install. *by C***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2018* The instructions were unintelligible and the printing was small and blurry. The top part, which had no name to it so I can't ID it, with adhesive, did not stick to the cleaned wooden door frame. The two velcro tape sides did not stick to each other even after using the included velcro smoother comb. The sticky stuff on one side of the velcro marginally stuck on my wooden door frame. I cleaned the painted wood with water and after that dried, alcohol. The heads of the little tacks that you were supposed to use to nail the velcro down with on a wooden frame door broke off, I had to use other tacks. The magnets did not stick well to each other. There were gaps in the tape even when the magnets were aligned properly. Therefore insects came inside the house. The two parts of the door do not close well, I had to use my hands to close them. My dog figured out the door fast as she knows about using different dog doors and a friend had a similar screen door she has used. The second time the dog came in by herself, the magnets toward the bottom of the door split apart and flew off onto the floor. The actual screen itself stretched and sagged after I hung it when the sun came around the house and heated up the door.I am glad I read the reviews to learn how to install the door as the instructions were not informative. However, I wished someone would have said what a poorly constructed, cheaply made item this was. Now I have to peel off the semi sticky velcro tape and mail this item back.I am very angry and upset at a waste of my valuable time I spent attempting to install it and afterwards, it not working and letting mosquitoes in the house and then breaking the second time the dog used it. ### ⭐ VERY UNHAPPY *by J***T on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2017* These directions are just stupid. You need ten hands to install this. I am so unhappy. I watched the video and read the directions and it still makes no sense. If you can hold your hands above your head for three hours then it might be good for you but otherwise - I would not buy this product. Even with the magnets aligned there is gaps in the screen.
