It fits nicely into a pocket. But it fried my Logitech C920's USB bus controller and seriously overheated the power cable on an IDLE blu-ray reader before I smelled the smoking hub and unplugged it. This thing is a total piece of junk. It worked fine for a couple weeks, hooked up to a high end PC's NON superspeed port. Pretty much out of nowhere a VRM (i think) overheated and ruined my camera. It could have been sitting there overheating for hours or even days before it finally produced a noticeable odor. I'll have to return the camera now too. I'm not sure what specifically caused it to overheat. The power draw from the devices was completely idle, so I can only guess that a controller in the USB hub failed to recognize the devices were asleep. I'm not going to open it up and look at the PCB inside because I don't want to give the vendor or manufacturer an excuse to deny a return. I've confirmed all the ports on my PC are good. No problems with any other devices or any other hubs (externally powered or not, and with more ports) so I can only conclude that a component in this specific hub was defective. This is apparently a pretty common problem for cheap hubs without AC adapters. But I'm not sure how you could protect your devices. It's not a matter of use case, since the devices I had connected were asleep and do not even draw substantial power when they're fully active. It's difficult for me to prove that there's nothing wrong on my end, but if that is the case, what are the odds that the only VRM producing smoke in my whole setup is this little cheapo hub? And what are the odds that all the other devices I plugged into the same port would have no issues?Even if I'm wrong, why take the risk? Save yourself the hassle and just get a higher quality hub. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great! *by G***Y on Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2017* Works fine for me. I use it primarily for hardware 'keys' such as Steinberg's dongle for it's professional series of DAW software. I don't have to go behind the racks to get my dongle now if I want to use Cubase Pro 9 on my Macbook Pro instead of sitting in the control room. (For those that don't know - licensed Cubase [and some other software] installations ping the dongle for the license, and if you want to use more than one computer at a time, you have to buy another dongle/license...but if you are using just one instance of Cubase at a time, you just plug the dongle into whatever computer you are using at the time). So, anyway, now the dongle resides in this fine usb hub on the console instead of in the back of the DAW. I have also transferred data between portable hard drives and my main studio computer, with USB 3, and I have not run into any issues with the wireless mouse, wireless keyboard or United Audio Apollo interfaces all using USB 3 and running on a HP Z400 Workstation PC. My wire is about 4 feet long. This does exactly what I want it to so I am happy with it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It just doesn't get any better! *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2018* First this has the SLOTS correctly oriented so you can put flash drives in without them touching and crowding. Second it's the only one with a long cable allowing it to be accessed from a desktop with the computer below on the floor; no more bending over! 3rd it provides power to the ports allowing my keyboard, mouse and scanner to all work; the cable gives all these enough extra length to be accessible on the desktop with my computer on the floor!!! It just doesn't get any better!HOWEVER, thankfully, MY UNIT HAS the STANDARD USB PLUG for my computer, not a "micro-USB"shown in the review window, that standard USB plug is also shown on this product's sales page.
