I used this on my Ford V10 and worked perfectly. I wouldn't say they are "easy" to install unless you are an accomplished TIG welder. I welded the clamp to the s/s pipe continuously on the inside and stich welded on the outside for added support. A TIG pulser makes welding the inside a lot easier. I suppose you could MIG weld these instead but the result wouldn't be great.
