I speak from experience because I just equipped my entire studio with these Gel Mouse Pads, that would be pads for two PC laptops with extended desktops, a MacBook Pro laptop (my wife's), my 24" 3Ghz iMac that is used almost exclusively for batch editing of photos, and my PC desktop that I am working on right now. So that makes 4 of them in service as of this week, with the one for my PC desktop being the original one I bought more than 2 years ago, and it's in perfect shape after constant use for all that time, a testament to the product's longevity, resilience, and ability to stay shaped properly for a long, long time! Review: Best mousepad I've ever used! - I've been using versions of this mousepad for over ten years now and at this point I'll never use any other one again. I've tried numerous other mousepads with wrist rests over the years but they all have some problem or another (shape that doesn't work as well, uncomfortable or too short wrist rest, wrist rest that feels weird and crunchy, etc). Not this one. It's comfortable even after years of constant daily use, shapes to your wrist gradually over time but doesn't lose support, and is gel and not whatever the crunchy stuff is that other mousepads use. I ended up buying another of these for the office as well several years ago. No issues with slipping or any damage to the mousepad even after years of heavy use. It's amazing how well this thing holds up. The smoothness of the surface eventually starts to get worn after long term use, but it's still perfectly usable and causes no functional problems at all.

**Q: Is this wrist pad compatible with Windows 8.1? Do I need to download Github like I did for my mouse pad?**
A: The wrist pad is very compatible with Windows 8.1.  Once every month Windows 8.1 will require your wrist pad for a few days and will be return it to you afterwards, but make sure to run a virus program on the wrist pad before you use it again.  If you develop Carpal Tunnel Syndrome while you do not have your wrist pad, please, whatever you do, do not, I repeat do not ask for the wrist pad back from Windows 8.1 or you will face the Blue screen of death.  If that happens just LIE and complement Windows 8.1 by saying how its way better than Windows 7 and tell it that you will upgrade its RAM.  If nothing works, just run and don’t look back.  Its fine now, Windows 8.1 will not get any support anyways so you should look for Windows 10 instead or maybe you get lucky and find the sexier Apple.  Next on Dragonb…Z aheem.  Next on Belkin wrist pad it will be a royal battle between King Windows and Queen Apple, who will come out on top…

**Q: How long is this smelly beast?**
A: 18.5" long 2.75" wide. I have small wrists, so the width with the odd wave in it works for me.

**Q: How do I get the smell out of this mouse pad? Has anyone else had a problem with a very strong odor?**
A: If you're encountering a strong odor, soak the mouse pad for a few minutes in a solution of half-and-half white vinegar and water.  Roll in a towel to get rid of excess moisture, then allow to air dry in a place with good air circulation.  Repeat if necessary.  Vinegar helps with all kinds of odors.  :)

Purchased this back in March 2021 when I needed something to support my wrist as I had tendonitis throughout my right arm from typing and gaming. Was pretty great, helped offer support and I use my PC a lot since I work from home and do contract work on the side. That said, keep in mind it's smaller than you think so you may have to set your mouse on its fastest setting to play FPS games (I myself just went without the pad since it snagged a lot due to being smaller than you'd think). It also only lasted about 3 years before it completely wore down. For $10, that's not so bad. I use an MX510 and M705 so it can be annoying when gaming or working. Overall, I was satisfied for the price. Wish it lasted longer tho.
