Review: The best choice, read to see why - The short of it is this - these hinges use a piston to soft-close. Other hinges use a spring. A spring leaves the cabinets with only two default options - fully open or fully closed. With a spring, there's a "tipping point" and once you're past that point, the cabinet will either close on its own or spring open, potentially bumping into walls or other cabinet doors. Since this uses a piston instead, there's a large "dead zone" where the cabinet will just sit partially open. Much, much nicer. I also like the adjustment mechanism. Other hinges make you unscrew the hinge from the cabinet to adjust the up/down dimension, but on these, you just turn a screw. You still have to be close initially though because they only adjust so far. The only thing I don't like about these is that they don't come with screws to mount them to the cabinet itself. The only screws are used to mount these hinges to the cabinet door. You need three screws to fully install these and they only come with two each, which is strange.

The short of it is this - these hinges use a piston to soft-close. Other hinges use a spring. A spring leaves the cabinets with only two default options - fully open or fully closed. I bought these January of 2023 and fit on all kitchen doors - it is now January 2025, I am once again updating kitchen (this time the countertop) and was reminded that these hinges have been awesome. At first I suspected they would fail, I bought more than I need as spares. I have not replaced one yet in a full house with heavy use. I installed these at my mothers house and she thought I was a sorcerer. Easy to install (install as fast as you are with screwdriver), fit nicely and greatly improve the noise and feel of the kitchen. Two downsides, you do need to dial in the fit if you can't copy it over from the prior hinges accurately and the other downside is they dont hold the doors quite as tight to the faceframe as the stock hinges (appears others have solved this issue). If you are thinking about it, based on the fact I took the time to write this, I say go for a nice inexpensive upgrade. I would add a picture but you've seen a kitchen cabinet and it works so eh .
