It has larger shells than we normal use, but it is a good price. Cooking is fairly simple, though it did take longer than the directions noted. It says 10-11 minutes on the cooking use instructions, but if you stop there the shells are still firm. I did that the first time we cooked these in my kids did not finish their pasta. The second time I cooked them for 20 minutes, that time my kids finished their pasta and went back for seconds. These are smaller sized shells, compared to DaVinci's medium sized "Sea Shells". I use these in pasta salads & they are just fine. We really like these cooked "Al Dente". When boiled in salted water, these are so good we can actually eat them plain. Of course they are best served sauced, or with olive oil & garlic & a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Even better is when we serve them with browned butter & topped with grated Mizithra cheese!
