I loved the magical realism which I did not expect. The characters were fun and interesting too, even the secondary characters. They seemed to jump to life out of the pages. Also, I love public transport. Hurray! I ended up getting this book as a gift for my friend later, and she fell in love with it too. Picked this one as part of my Pride Month reading in June and I’m really glad I did. 💖 It’s a total slow burn❤️‍🔥but kept me hooked from beginning to end. Set in New York , it’s a love story like no other, Jane gets stuck in a time loop, lost in time and trapped in the subway. August, with the help of her amazing friends, does everything she can to bring her back.❤️ The time travel concept made it stand out from the usual romance stories. ✨ Jane - bold, fearless, and full of life. ✨ August - soft, kind, and determined to help her. All the side characters were written so well and brought a lot of warmth to the story. The author’s writing had so much detail - even the quiet moments were done beautifully. ✨ I’ve read Red, White & Royal Blue by the same author and absolutely loved it and this one didn’t disappoint either.
