This book made me feel as if I were mourning the loss of a real person—it made me cry, laugh, shatter my heart, and ultimately heal it. Each love story was written with such beauty, and I’m so grateful that some characters found the happy ending they deserved. The way the struggles, pain and separation caused by wars were conveyed made me feel everything the characters were experiencing. Even now, my heart still aches when I think of how it ended for some, and my mind is still tangled in the emotions, but if I could give this book a million stars, I would.
