Prior to this we were using blue painters tape to attach the printed stories to the physical kanban board. Why buy a fancy magnetic card system if we print stories out on paper? Because it makes it easier to manage the physical Board, looks more tidy, and .... IT folks love geeky toys! The team is very happy with the improvement and ease of use. Normally 20-30 cm per column and 15-20cm per row.That's 80x40 inch for the whiteboard. 8-12 inch per column. 6-8 inch per row. **Q: These will not stick to our board which is glass with magnetic backing. The magnets are so weak, the board has to be magnetic for it to work ?** A: Correct, glass boards have very low magnetic strength. We developed a nanocups version for this kit. Since our aim is to provide users a more natural and 'paperly' feel when writing the cards we created a matt writing surface. So in contrast with a smooth surface -like glass or whiteboards- PATboard cards have 'pores' just like paper does. And these pores can get filled up with dry-erase 'ink'. And that is very hard to clean. The advantage of the use of our provided OHP markers is that after the ink is dry it doesn't smudge, like dry erase markers do. So you can crab, hold and move the cards without erasing the text.
