Although the older one is still working and the blade is strong, I felt the need for a new one. I googled reviews and lo & behold the same machine although upgraded had the most favorable reviews by a long shot. Those reviews are correct! I love the new machine; it has slightly larger capacity and the design of the movement of the blades is more efficient and is chopping and grinding so much better with no more pieces remaining at the bottom.
