I used this textbook to tutor an adult ESL student over a period of 5 months. We both found the book's format and exercises very useful. At times, the sequencing seemed less than perfect, but it was easy to skip around among the chapters without any problems.  I would use it again and/or recommend it to ESL students.

This book has interesting subject matter and weaves the grammar into the context. I also like the grammar charts and notes.  At the end of each chapter there is "editing advice" where very common errors are addressed and explanations given.
