We both have a very high tolerance for spicy food and use hot sauce on just about everything, so we’re always looking for sauces that bring real heat without overwhelming the flavor of the food. This one strikes that balance exceptionally well. On a scale of 1–10, I’d put the heat around a 6 or so for the average person. For those who enjoy spicy food, it’s definitely hot enough to satisfy, and the heat builds gradually as you eat without completely taking over the dish. One of the things I appreciate most is how versatile it is. We’ve used it on eggs, pizza, pasta, chicken, and plenty of other dishes, and it works well across the board. The flavor comes through in addition to the heat, which makes it a sauce we reach for regularly rather than something that’s only useful for adding extreme spice.
