I bought a USB microscope like this at least 15 years ago and it was great. I used it so often that the cord finally frayed and broke. I've bought at least 3 others trying to replace it and I have not been happy with any of them. This one is the replacement that I was looking for. - Works on Linux. Plug and play. No messing around. - Nice quality image, sharp, decent color, two levels of usable magnification. - The focus control is smooth and easy to turn one handed. - Frame rate is great when zooming or moving around. No lag. - Wired only. No WIFI. The WIFI microscopes I had were useless. Way too much lag. - USB C, A, micro and lightning connectors built in. Review: Fantastic magnificafion - This camera works really well for looking up close at anything, be it plants (which is what I use it for), skin, under your nails whatever you want!!! You will be impressed and surprised with the quality of vision that this produces. The cord is cool that it comes with as it can turn from usb to a microusb. Comes with a stand for if you don't have a steady hand and want to place the object beneith it. This is by far the best magnifier that I own and I have a few. It's at least 70% stronger then what was my best one, and I had thought that one was impressive until I got this bad boy. My only complaints are that I wasn't able to get it to work with my phone none of the suggested apps seemed to work, but the 2nd I plugged into my chrome book and switchsd from front to back cam it worked like a charm. No changing of settings or app downloads or program installs needed. I also would like this better if it had an on and off switch for the light and also if it had a black light feature. Also would be cool if it was optional to use as a traditional microscope, not needing to be attached to a electronic device. But it is nice not needing to peer down a small hole this is alot easier on the eyes and gives you a wayyyy bigger picture, also with a picture ;-) (or video if you want.) With fantastic clarity. So I definitely recommend even my negative opinions can be turned to positives with this handly device. ## Features - Jiusion portable magnification is a useful and funny microscope for students, engineers, inventors, and others who need to magnify and explore the micro things. - Be compatible with Mac, Windows XP Vista 7 8 10 11, Linux and Chrome OS. 【This microscope is not compatible with iPhone/iPad.】 - This magnification only support Android smartphone which has OTG function.(How to Check OTG? Download the free app”USB OTG Checker”) - Built-in 8 LED lights, digital microscope’s 2 adjusting knob can change the focus and brightness. - Connected to the devices, you can use the software to record the micro world, capture screenshot and record video. Besides you can use the Windows software’s measurement function to measure the least bit. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B06WD843ZM | | Best Sellers Rank | #65 in Camera & Photo Products ( See Top 100 in Camera & Photo Products ) #12 in Lab Handheld Digital Microscopes | | Brand | Jiusion | | Built-In Media | 2 | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Personal Computer, Smartphone | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 20,654 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | PLA_(Polylactic_Acid), PC_(Polycarbonate), PE_(Polyethylene), Metal | | Item Weight | 7.04 ounces | | Light Source Type | LED | | Magnification Maximum | 1000 x | | Manufacturer | Jiusion | | Manufacturer Part Number | Jiusion-1000x | | Material | PLA_(Polylactic_Acid), PC_(Polycarbonate), PE_(Polyethylene), Metal | | Model Name | Jiusion-01 | | Model Number | Jiusion-1000x | | Number of Items | 1 | | Objective Lens Description | Variable magnification from 40x to 1000x; likely multi-layer coating | | Power Source | USB rechargeable | | Real Angle Of View | 120 degrees | | Real Angle of View | 120 degrees | | UPC | 606814242898 606814242263 | | Voltage | 5 volts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Jiusion - **Color:** Black - **Compatible Devices:** Personal Computer, Smartphone - **Item Weight:** 7.04 ounces - **Light Source Type:** LED - **Magnification Maximum:** 1000 x - **Material:** PLA_(Polylactic_Acid), PC_(Polycarbonate), PE_(Polyethylene), Metal - **Model Name:** Jiusion-01 - **Real Angle of View:** 120 degrees - **Voltage:** 5 volts ## Images ![40 to 1000x Magnification Endoscope, 8 LED USB 2.0 Digital Microscope, Mini Camera with OTG Adapter Metal Stand, Compatible with Mac Windows 7 8 10 11 Android Linux Chrome Not for iPhone/iPad - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71H041lwExL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what I was looking for. *by K***S on June 21, 2026* I'm pretty happy with this camera. If you know what trichomes are then.....well, you know what I am growing. Anyway, it does a pretty good job and is much better than other hand held scopes I have used in the past which did not have a USB connection of any kind so no pictures. Using this allows me to evaluate pictures and compare them to previous photos or share them with other growers - which is all very cool. That said, for my application it is very awkward to use based on the orientation of the controls and how they operate - which took some time to figure out. Apparently I am not the only one too since there have been a lot of questions posted about this little device regarding the apps to use with it, the operation of the device, compatibility with other devices, etc. I knew all that going in but considering the price, I figured it was worth the risk. What makes it awkward is having to hold my phone, which is a Galaxy6, and flower in one hand and use the scope with the other - which in itself is about a two hand operation. It is very easy to lose the sight picture when you just move your finger or thumb ever so slightly to push a button or move the zoom roller - or both, which is what is required to focus. So yeah.....awkward is an understatement. However, I don't think it was meant to be used in the fashion I am using it. Still, it could be designed a little better either way. I am using the OTG app which is recommended by the manufacturer. Again, not an ideal application, but it does the job once you figure out how to use it. Update I have been using it now for about a month and overall I am pretty pleased with it. Especially the last few days since I finally figured out how the controls work. (Starting to sense a theme here?) Specifically the zoom and focus operation. If you hold the focus button down and use the roller it adjusts the focus. So you zoom in first with the roller only, then hold the button and use the roller to focus at that magnification level. Not easy to do with one hand like I am using it, but it works great now that I figured this out. Suffice is to say it's a bit tricky. However, it does a nice job of magnification. I think 1000x is a bit of an exaggeration. I don't know that for sure, but it's more than adequate for my purposes and much better than the 100x jeweler loops and other basic models I have used before. The picture quality is surprisingly good. I am not sure on the resolution, but based on the size of the pictures I would guess 640x480 which is fine. They are in PNG format which is not ideal, but I was able to download a free batch file converter so no big deal there. Taking all that into consideration and factoring in the price, I think a four star rating is about right and I can recommend it for anyone looking for a scope to evaluate trichomes. I have not used it for anything else, but I suspect it could be used for many applications and probably a lot easier when you can use both hands to operate it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Jiusion 40 to 1000x Magnification Endoscope, 8 LED USB 2.0 Digital Microscope, Mini Camera with OTG Adapter Metal Stand, Compatible with Mac Windows 7 8 10 11 Android Linux Chrome Not for iPhone/iPad - Jiusion Aluminium Alloy Universal Adjustable Professional Base Stand Holder Desktop Support Bracket for Max 1.4" in Diameter USB Digital Microscope Endoscope Magnifier Loupe Camera - Jiusion Original USB Microscope Carrying Case Bag for Jiuison Wifi & USB Digital Microscope, Also Compatible with Other Brands Handheld Microscope --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pe/products/41357569-40-to-1000x-magnification-endoscope-8-led-usb-2-0](https://www.desertcart.pe/products/41357569-40-to-1000x-magnification-endoscope-8-led-usb-2-0) --- *Product available on Desertcart Peru* *Store origin: PE* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
