I recommend putting it in your pocket for easy access. Mallets require you to tap very hard to get a sustained tone and, limit you to holding only one fork. The power of unweighted tuning forks come from creating harmonics or binaural beats which you need two or more forks to do. Tap two forks against the puck at the same time then bring them by your ears. BTW- if you have a blank hockey puck at home the use that.
