It is shipped frozen, in a cooler with dry ice to arrive to it's destination within 2 business days. This ham would not be able to be shipped and remain in transit for 4-6 weeks due to the perishable nature of the product. But that sure isn't the case.because the ham I baought was of poor quality, way to much fat, salty and it was not sugar cured becsuse it was way to salty to be sugar cured.I have had othere sugar cured hams in the past that was a whole lot better than the one I baught from Amazon. The other thing is, in the add it said that the ham would avarage between 8 and 10 pounds, but mine was only 6 pounds and a lot of that was water. For a ham that cost almost $80 dollars I expected a whole lot better ham that what I recieved.
