A sort of alcohol smell which evaporates quite quickly. It DOES provide good lubrication for an electric shaver. There are some exceptional electric shavers around now, so I find myself having a wet shave with less and less frequency. I do often get mild irritation though from my electric shaver. It’s not really bad or terribly uncomfortable, but I do get it. So I thought after all these years that I would try a pre-electric lotion. I did a bit of research and decided to try this lotion. I used it on my face and all over my head, it doesn’t take a lot. When I started shaving, the difference was immediate and night and day obvious. The smoothness and comfort was exceptional. I was really surprised because I wasn’t expecting a product to make such a huge difference. The closeness of the shave with fewer passes of the shaver was very noticeable too. And my skin was left smooth, soft, and comfortable afterwards, not at all dried out, and no irritation whatsoever. The only slight downside, and it is only my opinion, is that I’m not overly taken with the scent. It’s not terrrible, and it’s not strong, it doesn’t last for long after the shave, but I don’t really like it but can live with it. Otherwise, I really recommend this product.
