Perhaps my expectations for this book were a little too high but I felt that the use of other examples would helped to better illustrate the principles. That said, the layout, tracing paper inserts and typography all meant that this was a great book to leaf through as well as read.

Found this book a little hard to read as I felt it was a bit awkwardly written. It's full of useful visual examples though and covers some good fundamentals of grids. Worth ready if you're new to design. It's a very quick read.
