However, I sometimes wonder if SACDs are just trying to be too clever and not everyone has the stereo equipment to enjoy that indulgence? I enjoy listening to all downloads purchased via desertcart through my desertcart Echo Show 8 and most sound very well indeed. Yes, we must remember the second set was recorded during the pandemic and required distancing among these superb young instrumentalists, but I think a slightly more forward balance like the first set, may have resulted in us hearing a little more of them just to enjoy the performances even more!! Other than that, a definitive complete set which will give much pleasure for many years to come.

This set now completes Jordi Savall’s Beethoven cycle, probably making it one of THE best in modern times and there is probably very little I can say that has not already been said!! However, I sometimes wonder if SACDs are just trying to be too clever and not everyone has the stereo equipment to enjoy that indulgence? I enjoy listening to all downloads purchased via Amazon through my Amazon Echo Show 8 and most sound very well indeed.
