Was easy to install, works great. Goes up and down. Beats buying a mercedes one for an arm and a leg. Looks factory. The grommets fits perfect and there was a ton of them in the package to pick from

Fits in the factory installation location on 1999 Mercedes S500 (W140). Factory wiring works with this unit fine too. Antenna goes up when radio is turn on and down when it's turned off (or you turn off the car).You can hear some motor buzzing sounds quietly in the radio when the antenna is moving.. it's probably not as quiet as the Hirschmann... And the motor tries to go one more click past fully extended or fully retracted, so it might break a gear tooth at some point. Doesn't seem to be adjustable. oh well it's $20 and works otherwise as factory, so a decent buy.

Worth the purchase!

I paid $140.00 to have this unit professionally installed. Same company that installed my last two. After installation it was noticed that there was no AM reception. Using a different antenna, it proved the failure was do to the antenna. The problem now is I can't return the unit without having it uninstalled leaving a hole in my fender. The old unit had been disposed of. So I'm out the $50.00 For the antenna + $140.00 installation for a unit that did not work
