The Snap Lock held the knife world in rapture when it won the Most Innovative Knife Award at the 2004 Blade Show. We’re breathing new life into this unique everyday carry folder. If you think that it might be all show and no substance, spend a mere minute with it and you’ll do a 180° swing yourself. To open, simply press the front cam lever mechanism down with your thumb and rotate the blade outward until it fully extends and securely clicks into place. To close the knife, press down on the cam lever to disengage then swing the blade back into the closed position. Once the blade is in the closed position, no part of the edge is exposed and the knife is secure to carry. From his shop in Abingdon, Virginia, Ed Van Hoy dreamed up this historical design. It’s not only one of the most unique knives on the market, but it’s one of the most useful—it features a money clip, and is remarkably low profile so it’s never a burden to have on hand. The stainless steel blade has a subtle drop point shape. When closed, the matching wishbone frame is a 100% effective blade edge guard. The unique open mechanism becomes instantly intuitive once you push down on the front cam lever then rotate the blade outwards for a full 180°. The handle features a one position pocket clip for convenient carry. This knife made history, get your hands on a piece of Ed’s leg-acy with the Snap Lock reissue.Specifications:Blade Length: 2.554" (64.87 mm)Edge: PlainSteel: 420J2Blade Finish: Bead BlastBlade Thickness: 0.124" (3.15 mm)Grind: HollowClosed Length: 4.207" (106.86 mm)Open Length: 6.250" (158.75 mm)Weight: 2.5 oz (70.87g)Handle: 420J2Style: Folding Knife with Snap Lock ## Features - Innovative Opening: Unique cam action of the snap lock mechanism - Minimizes Reflectivity: Bead blast finish reduces reflection - Quick Release: Lanyard can be quickly released from tool for safety - Designed by Ed Van Hoy in Abingdon, Virginia - Limited Lifetime Warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship, see company site for details ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01N5XTSCS | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #136,564 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #536 in Pocket Knives & Folding Knives | | Blade Edge | Plain | | Blade Length | 2.55 inches | | Blade Material | Stainless Steel | | Blade Shape | Drop Point | | Blade Type | Folding | | Brand Name | CRKT | | Color | Gray | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (1,433) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00794023510225 | | Hand Orientation | Right Hand | | Handle Material | Stainless Steel | | Included Components | CRKT 5102N, Pamphlet | | Item Length | 6.25 inches | | Item Shape | Drop Point | | Item Type Name | Holster | | Item Weight | 2.5 ounces | | Manufacturer | CRKT | | Model Name | Snap Lock™ | | Model Number | 5102N | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 5102N | | Power Source | Manual | | Product Care Instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Recommended Uses For Product | Construction | | Reusability | Reusable | | Size | 2.6" | | Special Features | Foldable | | Style | Compact | | UPC | 794023510225 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | Limited Lifetime Warranty | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Blade Material:** Stainless Steel - **Brand:** CRKT - **Color:** Gray - **Handle Material:** Stainless Steel - **Included Components:** CRKT 5102N, Pamphlet - **Model Name:** Snap Lock™ - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Construction - **Special Feature:** Foldable - **Style:** Compact ## Images ![CRKT Snap Lock Everyday Carry Folding Knife with Snap Lock, Gray, 5102N - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/716iUx1uvFL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: is this Made in USA?** A: No, it's not.
