I typically wear S or M shirts and bought an S based on reviews. It fits perfectly. I would say that if you have a longer torso, you may have an issue with the fit; I happen to have a very short torso. I'm 5'7 and 145 lb for reference, smaller on top (4-6) and larger on bottom (6-8).
