The Sand man's story
This was very interesting: Sandman, a female grim reaper , a crazy assistant and that's only part of the characters we got acquainted with. Very enjoyable tale. Loved it!

Not at all what I expected - and yet it was
These Jayne Frost installments in the tales of Nocturne Falls continue to catch me off guard.Jayne is a unique character with a VERY unique perspective on events, so the stories never quite take the twists and turns exactly as I expect them to. In a genre dominated by “formula,” this is most definitely a good thing.Still, the bad guy was pretty easy to suss out well in advance, and this volume had none of Painter’s trademark surprises at the end. It’s a fun and entertaining chapter along this road, ad I’m looking forward to starting the next

I love how she narrates the story line. She keeps you guessing who done it. A must read series in her host of series.

Can I Do My Christmas Shopping In Nocturne Falls? V""V
This is the third book in the Jayne Frost mysteries and whilst you probably could read this as a stand alone personally I think you would enjoy it a lot more with the back story from book 1. Although it is a sort of spin off from the amazing Nocturne Falls series this is really more a series adjacent and I think fans of one will love the other and vice versa, and the BEST bit for me is the crossover characters that pop up because it all being set in one town.If you want something fun and paranormal to read get this series. I really can't say much more than that. I LOVE all the crossover between the 2 series, although it should be noted that the Jayne Frost series does stand perfectly well by itself with all the needed information provided but for me knowing the other characters that pop in makes it all the more fun. This is a great installment with some great new characters that really add to this already incredible world. It amazes me how some of the more minor characters REALLY steal my attention ....... or maybe it's a reaper thing ...... hmmmmmmm either way I am hoping for more of Lucien's story for sure! These books are even MORE perfect at this time of year and will put you in the Christmas Spirit, and make you wish you could do your shopping in Nocturne Falls *sigh*.An easy 5 stars from me and I can't wait for the next one! Cute story
Jayne is great. Trying to make a go of life, running a business , dating, Kris Kringle's niece,. A Very cool way of writing about a character.... But.... I am not sure how I feel about the main female character dating two men. I like the story but not the breaking hearts and BS that follows when you date 2 men in a small town. You have both date you in one night??!! You are an Elemental and Kris Kringle's niece?? Make up your mind?! I like the sandman story, and loved the way it played out...But " spoiler alert"!!!!! I didn't like that the girl that caused trouble with one of Jaynes boyfriends shows up at the end of the book!! Jayne and Coop broke up because of it , and I am not into drama and who really loves who?? Now, here she is. Anyway, I will probably not get another book. I don't want to see girl drama, hurt feelings, decisions made and broken hearts from deciding who they love, etc.too much reality and too much like life or a Jodi Picoult story. If you want to read great books, one one one, true love, monogamy and adventure; read Ilona Andrews, Jayne Castle, Nora Roberts, Jeanine Frost. They have great stories that involve true mates and love with one guy. This would be better if one guy was her counterpart in crime. k breeze is another good one.

Book Three
"Miss Frost Saves The Sandman: A Nocturne Falls Mystery" by Kristen Painter is the third book in the "Jayne Frost Series". Jayne Frost, manager of Santa's Workshop in Nocturne Falls, was given the honor to launch the Sandman's new children's book. Yes, that's right, the actual Sandman went down to Georgia to promote a book that helps little kids to fall asleep. But in a world where all sorts of mythological and fae base races side by side in this cozy Holloween themed town, it should not surprise anyone that the reclusive elemental is ready to add the title author to his resume. As Jack Frost's daughter, Santa Claus's niece, Jayne is ready for the challenge. She has a good team working for her, the support of her two casual boyfriends and a lot of other Nocturne Falls acquaintances to help her out if called upon. With the appearance of the Sandman's ex-wife Luna Nyx, the Mistress of Nightmares, Jayne has more to worry about than she initially thought she would.Overall, this was another great addition to a really well written and fun series. Jayne has managed to break out of her shell while gaining the tools she will eventually need to have as the heir to the winter throne. But the question still remains, will Jayne choose Cooper, the summer elf or Greyson, the vampire? Or will she eventually meet someone else that not only gets her but can rule the winter throne with her too?

Another great adventure for Jayne Frost in Nocturne Falls
Jayne Frost's latest adventures in Nocturne Falls have massive implications for the whole world; without the Sandman how will any of us ever sleep again?!Miss Frost Saves The Sandman takes us back to our favourite town of supernaturals, Nocturne Falls, where a promotional appearance by The Sandman, to sell his new book, puts our heroine into high gear. With the reputation of the shop at stake Jayne does everything she can to make sure the event runs like clockwork. Unfortunately for Jayne and the other residents of the town, there are other forces at work with a very different agenda.Once again despite the mystery centering around Jayne, the story involves many other characters from the town, whom we've come to know and love. And it's great to keep in their loop.Interesting developments in this book were the introductions of elementals--supreme supernaturals, if you will, and a lightly touched on arrival for the Ellinghams, which I am desperate to read more about in future Nocturne Falls books.A fantastic page turner that I couldn't read fast enough. The only downside being the wait I now have until the next book.

A great addition to the series
Loved this book! As usual, Kristen Painter creates a great plot with brilliant characters and a setting I honestly wish existed. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

Sleep
Sleep rules, it is needed by so many and when the Sandman comes to help parents get their children to sleep the whole town goes into chaos. It is a love tale but also a mystery, a little predictable but at the same time a really fun chances of misdirection and personal grudges.

Another fantastic Jayne Frost read
I came over to this series from the Nocturne Falls series (which I loved). This is the third book in the Jayne Frost books and I have read each one now.I found this book to be engaging, enjoyable and it flowed really well. There was enough mystery to keep me guessing and I love the characters in these books, new ones in this series and recurring Nocturne Falls characters. This book was a delightful read and comes highly recommended from this reader.
