The difference between these Mylar bags and the normal Polypropelene bags is that the poly bags are plastic - they are degrading right before our eyes and have a limited life span of 4-7 years based on environmental conditions before they start to break down and release adics into your books. The Mylar is an inert substance which is 10 times stronger and has 10 times the lifespan, and is more expensive.
