Review: Love the ember cup - I ove that my coffee stays the same temperature for every sip. It’s the best feeling to have every sip like your first sip. You do have to put it back on the charge after one hour but can continue to drink your coffee if you are sitting near the base. It’s not a big mug, only 10 oz. bu t I found that perfect for me. I downloaded the app and changed the heat setting to my preference which I really like that feature to. Just now I reheated some coffee from this mornings pot and ember brought it to the exact temperature I set on the phone and it’s just as good as this morning.

**Q: why is the Amazon price nearly double that of other retailers?**
A: Call your local Starbucks store(s). Starbucks is an authorized retailer of Ember mugs. I saw the prices on Amazon and the later shipping time on the Ember website, called my local Starbucks and had them put one aside for me to purchase at the regular $79.99 price. Chances are, that's what the Amazon sellers are doing too - so get yours quick!

**Q: Can the mug be used without the saucer or is the saucer part of the heating system?**
A: The mug may be used for a few hours without the saucer.  The saucer is the charging device.  Thanks for asking! :)

**Q: Can this product be used without a smartphone and app?**
A: YES. The mug can be used perfectly fine without a smartphone or app. It is set to 130 degrees by default (not 135), which is a nice, toasty temperature. The only things you can't do without the app is customize the temperature or change one of the LED colors; totally not a big deal.

**Q: Will the charger accept 220v?**
A: Thank you for reaching out. The Ember charger can accept anything between 100V AC and 240V AC so with the appropriate adapter it can be used in countries with 220V AC.  :)

I ove that my coffee stays the same temperature for every sip. It’s the best feeling to have every sip like your first sip. You do have to put it back on the charge after one hour but can continue to drink your coffee if you are sitting near the base. It’s not a big mug, only 10 oz. bu t I found that perfect for me. I downloaded the app and changed the heat setting to my preference which I really like that feature to. Just now I reheated some coffee from this mornings pot and ember brought it to the exact temperature I set on the phone and it’s just as good as this morning.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ one of the most used items in my house

So this is actually my second purchase of an Ember mug and even though I liked the first, this one is even better. I had bought the first iteration and did thoroughly enjoy it. Unlike the coaster heaters, the mug would evenly warm the coffee so that it was still effective with a full cup and not too hot or burned when there was only a small amount left. I have a few (okay, several) cups of coffee throughout the day but I sip them slowly, so this was perfect for me. However, these were my two primary complaints. 1) It looked dirty even if it wasn't. The white color looked nice at the beginning, but given my frequent use, it got stained and scratched after a while. This was mostly just visually unappealing but the coating did come off too. 2) The charging coaster - I got an extra one so I could use it at two locations. They aren't cheap at around $45. The contact charging pins got stuck on one of them after only about 2 months and it stopped working. A couple months later the second one did too. I contacted customer service about it and apparently it was a known issue to be fixed in the second version. I was a little hesitant to invest so much in another fancy coffee cup, so I waited a while to get another. However, I'm happy to say that it appears that both of my previous complaints are fixed in the new version. The black mug is much more my style(and doesn't stain) and the charging pins have been redesigned. No problems so far. Can totally recommend.
