Review: IT REALLY DOES WORK AS ADVERTISED! - I have had issues sleeping for as long as I can remember. It generally takes me a solid hour or two to fall asleep every single night. I have tried things like melatonin, no caffeine at all that day, pre-bed yoga, lavender oil in my diffuser... it just doesn't work. My daughter, who also has insomnia, suggested these. Since the day these were delivered, I have slept! It takes me about 10 minutes to fall asleep after I lay down, which is amazing! I rarely claim these products work perfectly, but really, this one does! Best of all, I can't feel any residual effects of it the next morning. With others, I would get the AM doze feeling... like I was walking in a fog almost. With this, I wake up well rested and with energy. I couldn't recommend these any higher! They are absolutely worth the purchase! **********************************UPDATE********************************** A year later - I still use these every night. I think maybe twice since I started using them I've taken the max dose of 2. I stopped taking them for a little while (3 weeks or so) and instantly went back to my crappy sleep. I stopped because I wanted to see if maybe it was just that I needed to train my body to actually sleep. I gave it 3 weeks to ensure that my poor sleep wasn't just because I stopped taking them. I just can't sleep for crap on my own. I'm so glad these exist. The fact that I don't feel groggy the next day is the best thing.

**Q: I just noticed that one of the ingredients in the softgels is carrageenan. Isn't that really unhealthy and is it also in the liquid bottle?**
A: carrageenan is on the fence; some say it is okay, others say it is toxic and/or problematic even in small amounts...doterra refuses to address it and refuses to disclose the specific sources of where they get their ingredients, so it is hard to trust them. an even more problematic ingredient than carageenan is maltitol. there is no place for maltitol in what is being marketed as a health product. talk about gastrointestinal upset....

**Q: Can you list all of the ingredients?**
A: Absolutely! 2 softgels contains Lavender Flowering Tops Oil 160 mg., L-Theanine 100 mg., Proprietary Extract Blend: Lemon Balm (Leaf & Stem), Passionflower (Flower & Aerial Parts), and German Chamomile (Petal) 50 mg. Other ingredients include Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Non-GMO Food Starch, Glycerin, Purified Water, Maltitol, Carrageenan, Sunflower Lecithin, and Silica. I hope this helps! :)

**Q: Does it take a while for these to work.  I bought them and took two capsules. Didn't help.  Do I continue to take them every night to get results.**
A: I didn't find this worked either.  I took 2 a night for the whole bottle.  I love the oil on the bottoms of my feet every night.  That works!

A: No, it is a vegetarian soft gel.

THese are a nice helper to relax and assist in calming the brain for some restful sleep. Although I find that its not a regular thing to take, on occasion is more effective. No drowsy side affects in the morning either.
