Review: Pleasure to use - I work mostly in a workshop setting and didn't think I had much use for a circular saw. Changed my mind having spent a few days with this one offsite. Perfect size; ergonomics. Powerful enough to handle 2x4s comfortably. Light enough to use single-handed (which I suppose you shouldn't really do). Blade stops instantly on release of trigger. No waiting for blade to spin down after every cut. Dead-straight cuts. You need a spare battery in the charger if you're going to be working all day but the 5ah battery seemed to last quite a while even with heavy usage. With a 60-tooth blade, I can see this being my go-to saw from now on for plywood instead of trying to wrestle with big panels on my table saw.

**Q: Is there a noticable difference in power with this brushless saw vs the original model with brushed motor?  I'm wondering if its worth upgrading.**
A: A brushless motor is more powerful, efficient and longer lasting. No maintenance, replacing the brushes.

**Q: If your left handed can you use this saw?, does Dewalt make one you can use if you are left handed?**
A: You can still use this if your left handed, this is a “blade left” saw being that the blade is on the left side of the motor. If your looking for a “blade right” saw check out the dcs573. Dewalt dosent make a blade right 6 1/2 inch circular saw that I know of. Hope this helps

**Q: Does it cut trex/composite deck boards?**
A: I have cut a lot of things with my saw, but not deck boards. However, my experience with composite lumber is that it is soft and easily cut. Also, given the correct blade, the saw should be able to cut pretty much anything.

**Q: Why wont my saw spin, all i hear is a click even with compatible battery  (20 v).is there a saftey feature that im not aware of?**

### ⭐ Terribly weak

Very weak. So weak in fact that when I tried to cut timber the blade would come to a halt but the motor continued to spin. I was only 2cm into the cut before it stopped. Unless it can be fixed by Dewalt I won't be changing my rating.
