I bought it because he has an immediate attachment to anything that is the color red.It doesn't take up a lot of space but is large enough to fit most of his toys in it. It probably wouldn't work for an older child with a lot of toys, but since my son is 1 most of his toys are stuffed animals and teething rings.So far, it has been very durable. We move it from the nursery to the living room throughout the day and back into the nursery at night. They are cute and seem sturdy, but don't hold up to much abuse. As long as they just sat in the closet they did fine. But as soon as the kids started dragging them around ,sitting on them , basically using them ,they deteriorated pretty quickly.
