Using these, makes it easier and faster to do. I can pick up lots of grass and branches. I agree with what others say, they're flimsy and feel cheap. But they do the job and so far, none are broke. I can't say whether they can bend, and I don't want to try. The size of these are great for me. I do recommend wearing gloves as the handles leaves an exposed area where sharp branches can get into.
