I got a very easy sewing kit from a department store that my six-year-old loved doing with help from me. I thought this sewing kit would be very easy too, but it was a little harder. We started with the bird. I had some challenges lining up the wing parts, and I became slightly frustrated. I think my child was picking up on this, and I had to check myself and my frustration. In the end, I am not sure we sewed the bird completely according to the directions, but it was good enough, and it looked cute. I think that adults who have grown up sewing or who otherwise have sewing experience will find this an easy craft, and those of us who did not and do not have sewing skills will possibly get frustrated, but if you go with the flow and don't let your frustration get the best of you, this can be a fun craft to share with your child.
