## Questions & Answers

**Q: how to install**
A: Hello, to install sensors in the wheel marchessinni my Ducati Multistrada 1200, I had to cut the threads of the sensors were not in it for the wheel sensors to be American bikes and wheel sensors is for Europeans, after installing the sensors, direct install a fuse block to the battery of the bike to not invade the wiring and line cam, just standing or ground wire and one to energize current is only on for the bike not consume battery, everything worked perfect for two months later the screen stopped working and being so little time, and I did not want to buy another computer and reinstall it (the screen) and I will not do is an economic team and I think the duration is short but if what you want the installation is easy.

**Q: will this fit the 2012 z1000 rims?**
A: Not sure, check the dimensions of the sender. I have fitted to both front and rear rims of 2003 VTR1000 so they should fit most rims. From the pictures you can see how narrow the sender units are.Its fascinating to see how the temperature rises and the pressure as you ride. Mine work very well.

**Q: I may have missed this.. but what are the overall physical dimensions of the readout unit... Thx**
A: About 50 x 30 mm and 25 mm depth - almost the right dimensions for me. The real problem is that no spare wheel pressure units are available, neither form Amazon nor from Orange, be prepared to trash your system when batteries be exhausted as customer service from Orange is unavailable.

**Q: How much does each sensor weigh? The 7oz listed for the kit is obviously all parts plus shipping packaging.**
A: Each sensor weighs 27 grams, including the nut and valve stem cap. I weighed them before installation to get an idea of where to start with the wheel balancing.

    Awesome Safety

*by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2011*

Awesome product!First off i bought this product as a friend of mine was driving last summer and had a major crash as a result of rear tire blowout. He was fortunate to survive the crash as he had his helmet on and he was laid up for a couple of weeks with some broken bones. When I found this out i started searching for an in tire TPMS product as from what i read and experienced the in tire TPMS are more reliable and accurate as they monitor in tire temperature and pressure inside the tire. The out side valve monitors such as (Tyre Dog and Tire Guard) are easier to install but are not as accurate since they only monitor pressure and temperature outside the tire which is not as accurate and are so susceptible to theft as all you have to do is unscrew the valve cap and your investment is gone. The in tire TPMS has a direct read on the inside temperature of tire if temperature increases substantially then there is a probable pending tire failure as the there is more friction created with tire on the road and the tire will soon be unstable. In addition the in tire system can accurately monitor pressure with in .5% PSI which is great accuracy.I had to take my Honda Gold Wing to the bike shop to get it installed for $50. After getting the unit installed at my local shop (about an hour install), the unit put out pressure and temperature as soon as the bike was turned on and hasn't had any glitches for the month I've owned it. The only issue i have had is the display is a little hard to read when the direct sun is hitting it, so you have to angle the monitor down a little, if there is a tire problem then the light turns red so it is easier to see if there is a problem. The sensors appear to be very responsive and accurate as the temperature and pressure readings will rise from their `cold' levels after riding on the road for an extended period of time. With valves on Honda being difficult to reach, this unit let's you know automatically where you stand with tire pressure without having to get on your knees...a nice amenity for an older rider. Purchased this unit after the TireGard screw-on sensors started causing leaks from the valves and the Orange TPMS seems to be much more durable and longer lasting battery.A few bucks gives me a piece of mind as you only have 2 tires on a bike...well worth the investment..link to the install site [...]

the absolute worst customer support !

*by P***6 on Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2013*

The unit worked fine for 2 months. Then front sensor quit working, a month later the rear sensor quit working. It took 2 months in over a dozen phone calls and emails to get the sensors replaced. The replacement sensors are NOT programed. I was told I'll have to take them to a dealer or tire store and pay to have them programed. I went to 3 different stores, nobody can program them. The unit is now as worthless as their customer service.

Possible Old Stock / Poor Customer Service

*by S***Z on Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2014*

I first bought / installed these in 2010 - the first set lasted about 2.5 years. I tried to get / order replacement sensors but was never able to get a response from their customer service. I bought a second (complete) set and replaced only the rear sensor (programmed it to the old monitor) in early 2013. That senor is now dead after 9 months. I replaced the front sensor 6 months ago and expect it to be dead soon.I think the problem is that the sensors begin transmitting as soon as they are manufactured and have a life of 3-4 years from that date. If they sit on a shelf for a couple of years then you won't get much use from them. I imagine a company that stands behind their product would help you out with a prematurely failed sensor - not these guys though. I think my second set were old stock - trying a different brand now. When working, it seems to work well though; accurate readings. My rear tire cold spec is 42 lbs. When riding on a hot day the rear will go over the 50 lb limit and show an alert, which is annoying.
