Review: These are very impressive. The muffins do not dry out. I peel the molds when the muffins are cooled then wash them by hand to store or use again. I would highly recommend them. I have two sizes and am very happy with both.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: do they fit a regular size muffin baking pan or do they bake without a pan?**
A: The bottom will kinda sit in a regular sized muffin pan but they work best in a large muffin pan. I have used them free standing on a cookie sheet too.

**Q: How many ounces does it hold?**
A: Around 3.5

**Q: can these be used freestanding on a cookie sheet or do they require a deep muffin pan?**
A: I have used them free standing, just don’t over fill and I used them in a regular muffin tin. Never bought a deep muffin pan for these.

**Q: Can these be used (baked) without the muffin pan (stand alone)?**
A: YES you can bake with these Silicone Muffin Cups WITHOUT a muffin pan!  I tried baking muffins both ways and with a muffin pan, it takes a lot longer to cook the muffins all the way through to the center and they turned out dry.  I NOW use just the muffin cups and place them on a cookie sheet.  My muffins come out moist and perfect!  Baking is so much faster and easer and clean up is faster too!

I have another similar set of the silicone muffin cups that is smaller and decided to buy this set of larger ones. Prior to buying this set and the other I have, I found previous sets to be too flimsy, and everything stuck to them. This isn't the case with these silicone muffin cups, although, depending on what you are baking or cooking, spritzing them with Pam or olive oil will often make cleanup much easier. Soaking them in warm water, soapy water also helps for some foods. In addition, an old toothbrush is very helpful to remove any food that may stick in the grooves of the cups. So, why do I love these silicone baking cups? 1) They are a larger size than many and more useful for some recipes. 2) You don't need a muffin tin or paper liners to use them. They are thick enough to hold up during cooking without using a muffin tin. I put them on a tin foil lined cookie sheet to eliminate cleanup of any runover or dripping on the pan when filling, 3) Although cleaning them is pretty easy since most foods don't stick, using a cooking spray helps to prevent sticking and an old toothbrush easily removed any food that sticks in the crevices. 4) In addition to using them in the oven for the obvious muffins and cupcakes, you can float them in a pan of boiling water to make poached eggs or use them in the microwave oven to make a quick breakfast egg cup with onions, cut peppers and cheese or other ingredients of your choice. 5) Since these silicone muffin/cupcake cups can be used in the oven, the microwave, and in boiling water, the uses for them are limited only by your imagination.
