I knew the specs he needed as a senior player. I appreciated the input given on amazon by senior players and purchased the driver with the Japanese shaft. One of his golf partners purchased his without it and although my husband is. 10 years older he out drives him significantly. I appreciated the input on amazon and I gave my husband the driver for Christmas. My 16 year old athletic grandson really drives the ball. I am not a golfer and relied on hints my husband gave and what was reviewed. To say he's pleased would be putting it mild. He's 75 and plays in the 80's. He recently had a game under 80 and he was thrilled. I ordered the X stiff because the stiff that I was using was not giving me satisfaction.
