That was a question I had, but never saw addressed in any reviews. You have to get used to barely touching the button and the remote is nearly twice the size, but I’m just happy to have a working remote again. My last one I tried to take apart to fix one broken button on. Note to anyone else out there- it is designed to break when you open it. And the circuit board parts on the side that is inaccessible.
