I tried using just 1. It still moved around a lot in the wind and when being passed. I added a 2nd sway bar after about 2000 miles of driving. The 2nd made a huge difference. Things finally settled down. The trailer is about 11' tall and 38' long, that's a lot of surface area to be affected by the wind. **Q: Will the sway control ball adapters that screw onto the existing ball mount work with this? Or do I need to find a local welder to do my dirty work?** A: I assume you are talking about where it mounts on the hitch on your vehicle. If you have an equalizer hitch it normally has a tab with a hole where the small ball for the sway control should fit. If it does not have one then you will need to take the ball mount and the supplied tab that has the hole in it to be welded on.
