It's about 10 yr old.** A: I believe it only works on the 1800 series grinders, great shroud though **Q: Will this fit a Dewalt grinder D28445?** A: Nor sure. I only have Bosch grinders. The Bosch has a collar that looks like a gear wirh teeth. This has to fit on that part to lock in place. I do not believe the Dewalt is made this way. **Q: The 5" concord cup wheel extends below the shroud about 1/8". Is this normal or is there a better cup wheel to use that doesn't extend so far down?** A: I used a dewalt double row, I think it was the 4 1/2". It plowed though left over thinset 10 times faster than my my roybi with a generic dust cover.....( took 2 hours to do a 4 by 16 area with the roybi and 25 minutes to do the same sized area with the bosch and this cover) the cover holds the grinder cup at just the right height to grind quickly with no dust. Because it is made for the bosch and fits the grinder perfectly the diamond grinding cup is level cuts the material quickly not damaging the OSB subfloor. There is next to no dust outside of the shroud when hooked up to a shopvac..... One of the best tool purchases I have made in a very long time!
