That's where the mechanical pencil comes in. I tried 0.5mm, 0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.3mm and 2mm sized before deciding that the 1.3mm size is the Goldilocks pencil...it's just right (or write). I also ordered the high quality, Japanese made Pentel 1.3mm mechanical pencil which is an incredible bargain in itself but the pencils in this review are so far proving to be perfectly functional and a joy to write with. With extra leads and extra erasers these pencil are a no brainer.
