It's not really easier than pushing your skin with your fingernails unfortunately. I will keep trying to get better with them. I'd return them if I didn't feel weird about semi-using them (I don't know if Amazon sorts them/disinfects/whatever). There is a plastic "protector" on the tips purely as decoration - they are not sharp, quite dull actually. My regular tweezers are sharper.If I was into making teeny, tiny hamburgers and hot dogs out of clay - I would be stoked on these because they would work okay with clay. I am actually thinking of using them for polymer clay stuff....when I actually get around to working with it. Really anything else "beauty" related is no Bueno. Hell, they barely even pulled a brow hair let alone cleaning any pores.
