(I own an HVAC company.) But I have run into an issue that no one can seem to help me out with... I have been running 10 temp sticks on my app with ZERO issues... I have now attempted to add an 11th and 12th device and "BATTERY 0% - REPLACE BATTERY" is now shown in app for BOTH. This leads me to believe that an app is LIMITED to 10 devices. I have multiple devices in stock and have now tried 5 different devices. (All with same result) I then took it a step further and removed an existing device and "POOF" the device that was number 11 suddenly WORKS. (Battery 100%) I then attempted to re-install device 10 that was removed and "POOF" BATTERY 0% - REPLACE BATTERY. This proves to me that it is NOT the device but is in fact a LIMIT of 10 devices which can be monitored. Why then, does the temp stick website claim you can monitor UNLIMITED devices??! This is going to affect my recommendations drastically. NOT HAPPY. **Q: So I understand, you purchase a "stick" for $149 - adding multiple "sticks" is he same flat fee of almost $150 - and they all communicate to same app?** A: Yes, multiple Temp Sticks can be managed through the same app. In my case, I have one Temp Stick in my Connecticut house, and another Temp Stick in my Florida home. Both report and are managed through my iPhone app. **Q: Is there a subscription for the device?** A: No separate subscription. Just need WiFi. Only cost is the device itself. Just talk to Ian **Q: Rather than a cell phone, will this work with a Verizon "home" phone?** A: The Temp Stick will work with any mobile smart phone or tablet device that is capable of downloading and operating the Temp Stick App. I am not aware of any wired home phones that support wireless style "Apps". But, having used it for less than two days, I am completely blown away by the interface design. The iPhone app is intuitive, and, frankly, beautiful. There are easy to use settings for everything I might want, like one-time alerts for going over temp until it has been cleared; but options for more frequent sampling and alerts for more critical situations like maintaining laboratory conditions. I have the window set for a week's worth of samples, but as I am just getting started, look at how it shows more detail instead of scrunching everything to the left. And instead of bar graphs or connect-the-dots, the sample points are joined by nice smooth spline curves.If they had some notion of heat index, I'd snap up another to put on our screen porch as a guide for what to wear outdoors, or avoid going out at all. The option to have periodic snapshots sent by mail facilitates "citizen science", and the Application Programming Interface provides access to collected data for more sophisticated users.If I were a member of a board of education, I'd want one of these in every classroom. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best temp monitor I’ve found *by A***X on July 1, 2025* So many applications for these and the customizable alerts are amazing! We love them and use them inside incubators, greenhouses, and fridge/freezers. We have used them for more than a year and have only had one faulty sensor- but there are alerts you can set so you can handle any potential problems immediately, so we knew it was offline right away. Support was very friendly and helpful and sent a new module as a replacement the same day.
