The fact that it has metal rods was a selling point for me as I thought it would be much sturdier than plastic rods. The entire product needs to be put together (naturally) so there are many pieces. Unfortunately it does not come with instructions but it can definitely be figured out - just take a close look at the plastic three-sided joints and make sure to use the same two types for the long metal rods. If need be the seller does include 'instructions' in the way of pictures in the product's Amazon description. The rods being inserted into the corner joints are very tight and a person without upper body strength will have problems. The overall design has merit but I would make several changes. The long metal rods are not all cut to the exact same length (they are only off a small amount) which means that you have to 'play' with the amount of rod inserted into the plaster corner joints so that the fabric does not sag. Out of the six I have two that the fabric sags due to the rods being cut slightly short but do not have more length in order to pull the fabric taunt. Also - and more important - the picture of the product shows the rack being able to be used separately or in smaller groupings - i.e. two stacks of three racks. I was hoping to be able to use the racks in several groups or in one tall stack of six and was hoping this would be an easy process. However the 'legs' need to be inserted into the top of each rack below and it is not an easy endeavor. Also keep in mind that none of the metal leg tubes have covered ends and can be sharp - which means they have the possibility to scratch floors if they come into direct contact with your floor. I am in the process of finding ends for the metal leg rods to alleviate this issue but I would have appreciated some type of rubber or plastic end caps for the legs that are being put on the floor. Is the product easy to put together - probably not for some people. Would I purchase this product again - no. Does the product have some merit - yes, if you plan to put the racks all together and not take them apart. I had also noticed after I had purchased this drying rack that many of the positive reviews under this product are for a different drying rack entirely. Unfortunately I did not realize they were reviewing a different rack until finding a picture of an entirely different (and round) pop-up hanging drying rack used for drying plants and herbs much further down the reviews. I will definitely read the reviews much closer next time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy assembly no, but worth it! *by B***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2020* I'll start with the good. This is what it looks like completely assembled next to our 48" TV!! The size is amazing and now that it's put together I love it! I do paintings for a living and was looking for something I could lay them on to dry! This is excellent and I even had room for my shipping materials!! It's perfect!The downside... it's not fun to put together at all. I won't lie. There was a tantrum involved and I did throw a couple assembled layers. There are no instructions included but it can be put together with common sense and if you come back to the Amazon add there are step by step pictures. The problem occurs when you try to put each section together. It's so tight they bow and it takes a miracle to get them flat enough to add ontop of each other. After much frustration I used the floor as my friend. I stood and pushed each side into the ground to tighten and it made it a bit easier to manage.Is it worth it absolutely! Will it be easy... probably not. Be prepared. Seems odd but there really aren't many (I found none actually) options for drying racks for canvas paintings. Since I do acrylic pours sometimes and other times i'm working on paintings that require layers to dry before I move on I needed a place that could hold all of my work in progress paintings. This thing is huge! It's perfect for what I need.I also have one crochet top that I dry on this rack, an unexpected bonus haha.Assembly was easy. Because this is so lightweight I can see it being a cinch to move into a back room if you were having company over and didn't want this is your livingroom.This takes up a lot of space and is not something you break down in between uses every couple weeks so keep that in mind.For my use it worked perfect tho.
