Well, this doesn't! I wash and shave my legs and then put this on almost like regular lotion. It leaves a nice, dark, even tan behind. No snake skin! Just be careful around knees and ankles, as the bottle says. Works GREAT! Does not rub off on clothing and lasts a few days ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lasts a long time *by H***I on November 29, 2024* I have tried professional salon spray tan, I have tried many different at home self tanners and they always faded extremely blotchy and made me look like I had skin disease. NOT THIS ONE!!!! This is my new favorite product!!!!! I'm in love with it!! My tan is very close to what I look like tanned from the sun and/or indoor tanning. I recently had a huge chunk (I'm not exaggerating) removed from my leg because it was positive for melanoma skin cancer, needless to say, I can no longer "fake bake" or stay in the sun long enough to tan. I'm getting married next year and it was really important to me to try and find a self tanner that actually worked for my skin and didn't make me look orange.. I have very dark hair and eyebrows, I hate the way I look when I'm pale!!! Having color is a boost in self confidence for me, so this find was huge!! I thought I was going to have to do a bunch of trial and error on many products. I got very lucky, this was the first one I tried after finding out I had melanoma. In the past, I had tried many different self tanners but they never worked for me!!The only thing I'm a little confused about is when to exfoliate. Because the color lasts so long, it's hard to know when to do it because it seems as though my color is still building. I don't want to exfoliate and strip the tan, but I'm on day 7 and haven't exfoliated yet. I've just washed in the shower with an all natural body wash and moisturized everyday. I wish there was more instructions on after care. For now, I'm happy my tan has stuck and has gotten deeper as the days go on. I do add a little more tanner after showering. I have been using a self tan skin prep moisturizer, which states it can be used before and after applying tanner. I will leave another update after another week or so.If you're looking for an easy application, dries fast, has a pleasant smell, easy to use, doesn't fade blotchy or patchy this is the self tanner for you!! It hasn't stained my sheets or clothes yet either!!Tip: always use a MIT when applying this product!! It helps for smooth, even application.UPDATE: After about 7 days, I did exfoliate in the shower because my tan was starting to get very blotchy and patchy. I followed all aftercare suggestions I found in some online research and I'm sad to say this self tanner is no different than the others when it comes to fading super uneven. Needless to say, I'm happy it's winter because I'm in a turtle neck sweater today, trying to cover up my skin as much as possible. There is only so much make up can cover!!!
