This is a must have if you intend to take this exam!I had taken this exam 4 times and failed.I do speak and read English very well, one of the reasons  I thought I was a pro. This book gave me all the directions and instructions that helped me to pass this exam. I highly recommend this book.

I took the first subtest had got 94% correct. I only used this book and found it to be a very good resource. The only thing that I noticed that was missing was that the test contained questions that outline the passage and you had to choose the correct outline. There was not any practice questions of this nature on the test. I would purchase this again. I will update my review after I take the second subtest.

Good book to understand point by point what you need to know in order to pass the exam. However, I was expecting more. I wish it included an actual sample of the test, like the one provided on the vcla website. Even the questions in the book aren't as hard as they are on the actual exam and there are some misprints too. But this is a good reference book. And I passed the test after all!
