My husband suggested Selsun Blue but I found, though it helped, I really didn't care for the strong, lingering smell. I was looking for other options when I cam across this stuff, and it was so inexpensive I decided to (virtually) toss it into my cart to give it a try. I am so glad I did. I like tea tree oil in general, but this product includes other oils too, as well as soothing aloe vera. It's hard to put it directly on my scalp with my long hair in the way, but I'd attempt it and then let it sit for a bit while in the shower and then add some to my shampoo when I washed it out. The shampoo method works just fine on its own now that this product has helped with the dryness. It works great as an addition to bodywash, too, and I find I don't need as much lotion throughout the day. Great product. I use it specially when I get pimples on my skin and when I get an itchy scalp. It does NOT have a bad smell, it is a natural oil and such will have its natural scent. If wanted for better hair results mix it with coconut/olive/castor oil.
