The cotton tips are soft and tightly wrapped, so they don't fall apart easily during use. I mostly use them for makeup touch-ups, cleaning small areas, and craft projects, and they've worked well for all of those tasks. The sticks feel sturdy and don't bend too easily when applying a little pressure. My only complaint is that a few swabs had slightly uneven cotton tips, and I wish the package were easier to close securely after opening.
