Good, but you need a good spindle and consistent coolant for aluminum.
Im building a new cnc machine with a 3hp spindle. I wanted to see if this would work with my machine. Honestly, it worked perfectly. I ran it at 10,000 rpms and a slow feed rate. It cut aluminum like butter. I had to turn on my flood coolant to keep it running without getting stuck to the aluminum. I started cutting without flood turned on and it was occasionally sticking to the aluminum and shaking. Keeping the flood running kept it humming along with no problems. My spindle has little to no wobble which is importantwhen usingthese types of bits. After cutting aluminum for an hour, the blades are still sharp and look like new.

Well made
I have used an Amana spiolboard cutter for years. When the replacement blades tripled in price I thought I would try something new. This is a well makes cutter. I yet to try it so I will add to this after than. One of the cutters did come chipped or I would have given it 5 stars.

quality of product
I wouldn't recommend this tool to any one. First time using it one of the blades broke on it due to a bent shaft. l guess that's why the top brands cost 300-400 dollars as to $60. You get what you pay for.

can replace the cutters
This router bit is much better than others I tried as far as not making burn mark on my work.

Pro Quality CNC/Router Surfacing 1/2" Shank 2.5" Diameter Bit w/4 Tungsten Carbide Rotatable Teeth
When I want to resurface a board with a big router, this is the style and quality of bit I would always use. This is a heavy 4 winged steel bit that has a 1/2 inch shank. The big solid steel bit construction helps with heat dissipation as the bit moves through the cut. The design includes the slight dome where the shank joins the bit body to eliminate chatter. This bit uses 4 replaceable polished Tungsten Carbide (TC) teeth (arriving in the small foam pack seen in Picture 1. The bit has an extra set of hardened Torx screws with a driver tool (with the yellow tab on the driver Torx shaft) to mount the TC cutters to the bit body. I like this style because I can rotate the cutters 180 degrees to expose 2 new sharp faces. That doubles the value of the bit and I believe new cutters are available at an additional expense. This bit needs to be used with a powerful router or CNC machine. I would use a router table with this big a bit and do tiny incremental cuts as it has a full 2.5 inch diameter. Pictures 3-5 show the bit. See the listing for specific cutter and bit dimensions. This is excellent quality!I Recommend this ROOCBIT CNC Spoilboard Surfacing, Slab Flattening Router Bit, 2-1/2 Inch Cutting Diameter, 1/2 Inch Shank. Superior quality bit!I hope you’ve found the information and my review helpful.

Best surfacing bit I own.
I have a 3" surfacing bit, just a wee larger than this, and it's decent, but between the 2, this one kills it in terms of overall quality. The build here is just, stellar. As in, this is just as at home on your CNC as it is on your router. It comes with extra screws for the blades, and a tool to install / remove them, which is very nice. The blades, also, are highly polished chrome, very hard, and easy to install. And when I say, well made, there are no burr-filled holed or nasty machine work, like some shops will run a tool into the ground and you start to see tooling marks and whatnot, this is all flawless. In addition, I installed all 4 blades and checked for flat, as best I could anyway without a machinist flat to check against. And I could see NO deviation in any of the blades. This thing should carve all 4 blades as 1 and should produce a VERY flat surface with very little sanding afterwards. I'm actually VERY impressed with how true this is.It might not be quite as wide as my 3" bit, but I'll probably use this 2.5" beauty if it's something I care about the finish on. Ridiculously good, and highly recommended.

Blades got chips off
First time used on March 28, 2023 on Aluminum T6061 for surfacing, spindle rpm=18,000, cut depth 0.5mm, feed rate =50 mm/min. Two inserts got chips off at the blade edge. Surface finish is not good.
